There are a number of allotment sites in the area, Most of them belong to the London Borough of Hillingdon (LBH), others are on land that belongs to the church of England.
The LBH has thirty five sites. They are numbered on the allotment map*. (Note numbers 22 and 31 have been discontinued. A new online map will be available soon.) Some of the sites are directly managed by the council, they maintain the site, set the rent and let the plots. The other sites are either in a shared management scheme or they are self managed.
Shared management sites are classified as Scheme A. This means the council sets the rent and let the plots. The site managment committee is responsible for maintenance. Self managed sites are classified as Scheme B. The site management committee set the rent, let the plots and maintain the site.
You will find details about the sites names, the features and facilities available on the site locations page. See the Allotment FAQs for information about renting allotment plots.
The Allotment Growing website contains a brief outline of the history of allotments and other general information.
