Allotment Sites - Facilities and Features

This page contains details of allotment sites in Hillingdon. They are listed in alphabetical order. The numbered sites belong to the London Borough of Hillingdon. (The bracket numbers relate to numbers on the allotment map*.) The other sites** are on church of England land.

London Borough of Hillingdon Sites

Ashford Avenue (No.28)* Map / Satellite
The main entrance is at the end of an alley between 167 and 169 Ashford Avenue Facilities and Features: 32 plots. Many vacancies. There is a surrounding fence and water supply and toilet facilities. A site secretary is available.

Barnsfield Place (No.19)* Map / Satellite
The main entrance is in a car park at the end of Rockingham Parade. Facilities and Features: 18 plots - some vacancies. There is a surrounding fence, concrete access path and water supply. Toilet facilities with access for disabled gardeners. A site secretary is available.

Belmore (No.26)* Map / Satellite
Entrance at the end of Burns Close. Facilities and Features: 10 plots - many vacancies. There is a surrounding fence and water supply and toilet facilities. One allotment plot in the Top 50 list.

Bourne Farm (No.32)*Map / Satellite
Entrance on the service road at the end of Pinkwell Lane. Facilities and Features: 101 plots - many vacancies. There is a surrounding fence, car park, water supply and toilets. A site secretary is available. One allotment plot in the Top 50 list in 2014.

Carlyon Road (No.27)* Map / Satellite
Entrance opposite Yeading school in Carlyon Road. This is a Scheme B site (Self-Managed). Contact the site secretary for information about rent etc. Facilities and Features: 50 plots - some vacancies. An allotment shop maybe available. One allotment plot in the Top 50 list in 2014.

Chestnut Avenue (No.6)* Map / Satellite
The allotment plots are on both sides of service road at the bottom of Chestnut Avenue. Facilities and Features: 33 plots - no vacancies. There is a surrounding fence and water supply. A site secretary is available.

Church Hill (No.4)* Map / Satellite
Main entrance is down a track way between number 20 and 22 Broadwater Gardens. Facilities and Features: 44 plots - many vacancies. There is a surrounding fence and water supply. A site secretary is available.

Field End Road (No.15)* Map / Satellite
Entrance is between Field End schools and Venue 5 pub, Field End Road. Facilities and Features: 65 plots - no vacancies. There is a surrounding fence, concrete access path and water supply and toilet facilities. A site secretary is available. Two allotment plots in the Top 50 list in 2014.

Glebe Avenue (No.16)* Map / Satellite
Access through a track way on Glebe Avenue. The track is opposite the junction of Sussex Gardens. Facilities and Features: 52 plots - no vacancies. There is a surrounding fence and water supply. A site secretary is available. Allotment competition winner - Best London Borough of Hillingdon Managed site in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. One allotment plot in the Top 50 list in 2014.

Grosvenor Avenue (No.22)* Map / Satellite
Access via a track at the end of Weymouth Road. Facilities and Features: 102 plots - many vacancies. There is a surrounding fence and water supply. A site secretary is available.

Hayes End (No.25)* Map / Satellite
Entrance at end of Welwyn Way, which is off Balmoral Drive. This is a Scheme B site (Self-Managed). Contact the site secretary for information about rent etc. Facilities and Features: 97 plots - some vacancies. There is a surrounding fence, car park, water supply and toilets. Trading hut available. Allotment course and taster sessions available during April and May. Allotment competition winner - Best large site in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. Best self managed site in 2013 and 2014. Ten allotment plots in the Top 50 list in 2014.

Heathfield Rise (No.11)* Map / Satellite
Access via an footpath / alley next to number 22 Glenhurst Avenue Facilities and Features: 36 plots - no vacancies.There is a surrounding fence and water supply. A site secretary is available. One allotment plot in the Top 50 list in 2014.

Highfield Crescent (No.5)* Map / Satellite
Entrance opposite number 6 Highfield Crescent. Facilities and Features: 9 plots - no vacancies There is a surrounding fence. A site secretary is available.

Highgrove (No.10)* Map / Satellite
Entrance opposite number 72 Lime Grove. Facilities and Features: 59 plots - no vacancies. (Scheme A - Shared management.) There is a surrounding fence, concrete access path and water supply and toilet facilities. A site secretary is available. Two allotment plots in the Top 50 list in 2014.

Hill End (No.1)* Map / Satellite
Main entrance is between Tanrey Cottages and the Harefield Nursing Centre, Hill End road. Facilities and Features: 47 plots - many vacancies. There is a surrounding fence and water supply. A site secretary is available.

Hill House (No.3)* Map / Satellite
Main entrance in Dovedale close. This is a Scheme B site (Self-Managed). Contact the site secretary for information about rent etc. Facilities and Features: 29 plots - no vacancies. Allotment shop available from February to October on the following days: Fridays 7pm � 8.15pm and the 1st Sunday of each month 10am - 12noon. Toilet facilities with access for disabled gardeners. Allotment competition winner - Best small site in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. Four allotment plots in the Top 50 list in 2014.

Honeycroft Hill (No.20)* Map / Satellite
Pedestrian entrance is next to U2 bus stop at the Park Road end of Honeycroft Hill. Facilities and Features: 7 plots - no vacancies. There is a surrounding fence and water supply.

Ickenham Green (No.13)* Map / Satellite
Access via footpath next to number 24 Oak Avenue. Turn left at the end of the public footpath. Entrance gate is a few metres ahead on the right. Facilities and Features: 39 plots - no vacancies. (Scheme A - Shared management.) There is a surrounding fence and water supply and toilet facilities. A site secretary is available.

Meadway (No.8)* Map / Satellite
Entrance is next to number 5 Mead Way. This is a Scheme B site (Self-Managed). Contact the site secretary for information about rent etc. Facilities and Features: 13 plots - no vacancies. Entrance opposite a petrol station in Pield Heath Road. Facilities and Features: 25 plots - some vacancies. There is a surrounding fence and water supply. A site secretary is available.

Pinglestone Close (No.35)* Map / Satellite
Access to site via an alley between numbers 15 and 17 Pinglestone Close Facilities and Features: 32 plots - some vacancies. There is a surrounding fence.

Pinn Way (No.9)* Map / Satellite
Several pedestrian entrances along Pinn Way. Facilities and Features: 9 plots - a few vacancies. There is a surrounding fence. A site secretary is available.

Poors Land (No.2)* Map / Satellite
Pedestrian gate between number 91 and 93 Newdigate Road East. Facilities and Features: 37 plots - many vacancies. There is a surrounding fence and water supply. A site secretary is available. One allotment plot in the Top 50 list in 2014.

Rodney Gardens (No.7)* Map / Satellite
Allotment plots in the grounds of Eastcote House Open Space, between Rodney Gardens and the River Pinn. There is a surrounding fence and water supply. A site secretary is available. Facilities and Features: 20 plots - some vacancies.

Southbourne Gardens (No.12)* Map / Satellite
Main entrance is sited in a public car park next to the Community Centre in Oak Grove. This is a Scheme B site (Self-Managed). Contact the site secretary for information about rent etc. Facilities and Features: 71 plots - no vacancies.

Stafford Road (No.17)* Map / Satellite
Entrance via a track between number 27 and 29 Stafford Road. Facilities and Features: 67 plots - some vacancies. There is a surrounding fence and water supply.

Station Road (No.33)* Map / Satellite
The allotment site is between Crowland Avenue and Woolacombe Way. Main entrance sited off the slip road on Station Road. This is a Scheme B site (Self-Managed). The Fairway (No.18)* Map / Satellite
Main entrance sited on slip road next to number 77 The Fairway. Facilities and Features: 56 plots - some vacancies. (Scheme A - Shared management.) West Drayton Cemetery (No.31)* Map / Satellite
Entrance beside Family Centre on Rowlheys Place. Facilities and Features: 25 plots - no vacancies. (Scheme A - Shared management.) There is a surrounding fence and water supply. West Drayton Depot (No.30)* Map / Satellite
Entrance next to number 72 Porters way. Facilities and Features: 36 plots - some vacancies. There is a surrounding fence, car park, water supply and toilets. A site secretary is available. One allotment plot in the Top Fifty list in 2014.

West End Road (No.14)* Map / Satellite
Entrance next to Ruislip Rugby club, (opposite Eversley Crescent). Facilities and Features: 9 plots - no vacancies. (Scheme B - Self managed.) There is a surrounding fence and water supply. A site secretary is available. Allotment competition winner - One allotment plot in the Top Fifty list in 2014.

Western Avenue (No.21)* Map / Satellite
Main entrance next to number 34 Freezeland Way. There is another entrance from the end of Windsor Avenue. Facilities and Features: 57 plots - some vacancies. There is a surrounding fence and water supply. A site secretary is available. Three allotment plot in the Top 50 list in 2014.

Wood End Green (No.29)* Map / Satellite
Entrance on north side of Wood End Road. This is a Scheme B site (Self-Managed). Contact the site secretary for information about rent etc. Facilities and Features: 100 plots - some vacancies. An allotment shop is available. Toilet facilities with access for disabled gardeners. Five allotment plots in the Top Fifty list in 2014.

Other Allotment sites**

Joel Street - Ruislip and Northwood Allotment Society Map / Satellite
This site is in Northwood Hills. The entrance is on Joel Street, near Tolcarne Drive. Facilities and Features: 80-plus plots plus small starter plots. There is a surrounding fence, secure locked gate, car park and water supply. There is a composting toilet with disabled access funded by The National Lottery through Big Lottery Fund. Plot holders are allowed to build small sheds and greenhouses. Some machinery is available. There is a small waiting list.
